Layered, textured or effect coatings developed against an approved master sample. Translate the desired effect into colour, sheen and variation limits. Compare the finish on flat areas, profiles and recesses, and discuss how touch-ups or replacement pieces will be matched without assuming every hand-applied effect is identical. Resolve this detail in a drawing and a representative sample before repeating it across the project. Coordinate materials, joints and installation access with adjacent elements. Define the acceptable appearance and inspection method during sample review so that the approved intent can guide production.
